The recent closure of Harness Power, a leading Texas-based solar installation company, has left many customers uncertain about the future of their solar energy systems. If you're one of them, you may be wondering: Who will service my system? What happens to my warranty? How can I ensure my solar investment remains protected?
At The Light Group USA, we're stepping in to provide ongoing monitoring, maintenance, and expert support for Harness Power's abandoned customer base. Our goal is to ensure a seamless transition, keeping your solar system running efficiently and delivering the energy savings you expect.
Despite its strong reputation and customer base, Harness Power faced several challenges that ultimately led to its closure, including:
While Harness Power's exit from the market is unfortunate, homeowners still have options to protect and maintain their solar systems — and that's where The Light Group USA comes in.
If Harness Power installed your system, take the following steps to ensure it remains in top condition:
We are a team of solar professionals, Master Electricians, and energy experts with extensive experience in installing, servicing, and maintaining solar panel systems across Texas, California, Oklahoma, and beyond.
Our mission is to deliver top-tier customer service for the entire lifespan of your solar system.
Regular maintenance is key to maximizing your system's performance. Our services include:
If you financed your system, we can assist in communicating with your finance provider or equipment manufacturers to address warranty-related concerns. If needed, consulting with a consumer protection lawyer may also be beneficial.
Your panels, inverter, and any batteries installed by Harness Power are still yours and can keep producing energy. The Light Group USA can take over service, diagnostics, monitoring, and warranty support — without requiring you to remove or replace existing equipment.
Yes. We service all major solar brands and inverter makes (Enphase, SolarEdge, Tesla, SMA, Fronius, etc.) and most legacy panels. If your system was installed by Harness Power, we can typically diagnose and restore production without touching your roof.
The Harness Power workmanship warranty is no longer enforceable. However, the equipment manufacturer warranties (panels, inverters, batteries) typically remain valid for 10-25 years from install date and are honored directly by the manufacturer. We help homeowners file equipment warranty claims.
Many monitoring portals are tied to the original installer’s account. We can re-activate or transfer monitoring to your name (Enphase Enlighten, SolarEdge MySolarEdge, Tesla App, etc.) so you regain real-time visibility into your production.
Free initial diagnostic assessment. Most repairs and re-monitoring activations are flat-fee or covered by manufacturer equipment warranty. We’ll quote any repairs upfront before any work happens.
Yes. The Light Battery Program adds Tesla Powerwall or equivalent storage to existing solar — including systems originally installed by Harness Power. This reduces remaining electric bills and provides backup during ERCOT outages.
Yes. Any work we perform on your system is backed by our 25-year workmanship warranty. Existing panels and inverters retain their original equipment warranties.
Although Harness Power's closure has created uncertainty, The Light Group USA is here to ensure a smooth transition for affected homeowners. You don't have to worry about your system's future — we provide the expertise, maintenance, and ongoing support needed to keep your solar investment secure.
